The patents at issue relate in various ways to technology involving peptides containing an arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) sequence or related cell surface receptors. Compounds containing the RGD sequence promote or inhibit cell adhesion by binding receptors called integrins found on the surface of almost every cell in the body.
Volvo Starts Assembly of Trucks in China
GOTEBORG, Sweden, June 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Volvo Trucks (Other OTC:VOLAFK) has signed a Joint Venture agreement with China National Heavy Truck Corporation, CNHTC, for production of trucks. The registered capital in the joint venture company amounts to 600 million RMB, 60 MEUR, which is split equally between the two parties. Production is planned to commence by the end of this year.
