(Nasdaq:NTWKC), a developer of proprietary software applications, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with United Kingdom-based Akhter Group PLC. Under the terms of the agreement, Akhter Group acquired 49.9 percent of NetSol Technologies' wholly owned subsidiary, Pakistan-based NetSolConnect (Pvt) Ltd., an Internet Services Provider in Pakistan. Akhter, one of the longest established computer companies in the UK, is well recognized as a provider of managed Internet services, integrated networks, both local area networks and wide area networks as well as metropolitan area networks within the UK.
Moore-Handley, Inc. Reports Results of Operations for the Quarter Ended June 30, 2003
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Aug. 7, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Moore-Handley, Inc. (Nasdaq:MHCO), a Birmingham-based distributor of hardware and home center products, reported a net loss of $133,000 or $0.07 per diluted share for the quarter ended June 30, 2003 vs. net income of $328,000 or $0.17 per diluted share for the same period in 2002. The quarter ended June 30, 2003 included a charge to income, net of taxes, of $227,000 or $0.13 per diluted share because of a change in the allowance for uncollectible vendor receivables. This change in estimate was based on new information developed as the result of improved accounting and internal controls for vendor receivables.
