QLogic Reaffirms Guidance for First Quarter of Fiscal Year 2005; Final Results to be Announced on Wednesday, July 14, 2004
ALISO VIEJO, Calif, June 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- QLogic Corp. (Nasdaq:QLGC), the company that powers storage area networks (SANs), today reaffirmed the first quarter of fiscal year 2005 guidance provided during their fourth quarter earnings call on April 28, 2004. The Company's guidance for revenue was flat to a 3 percent increase sequentially in the June quarter and earnings per share was estimated to be $0.34 to $0.37 on a non-GAAP basis. The difference between GAAP and non-GAAP net income in the June quarter is expected to be comparable to the difference in the March quarter.
QLogic Announces New Stock Repurchase Program

Emulex Announces Preliminary Fourth Quarter Results
COSTA MESA, Calif., June 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the world leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters and a provider of intelligent building blocks for the storage networking industry, today announced that it expects to report revenues of approximately $85-86 million for the fourth fiscal quarter ended June 2004, compared to the range of $100-103 million projected during the Company's third quarter conference call in April 2004. The Company expects non-GAAP earnings per share for its fourth fiscal quarter to approximate $0.18 per share, compared to the prior projection of up to $0.25 per share. On a GAAP basis, excluding any unusual one-time charges, the Company expects to report earnings of approximately $0.10 per share.
