Crucell Discovers Human Monoclonal Antibody that Protects Against SARS
LEIDEN, The Netherlands, June 25, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dutch biotechnology company Crucell N.V. (Euronext:CRXL) (Nasdaq:CRXL) announced today the discovery of an antibody for protection against SARS virus infection. In the next issue of The Lancet medical journal, due for publication on June 26 (Volume 363, pages 2139-2141), study results will be published reporting that a human monoclonal antibody, discovered with the use of Crucell's MAbstract(R) technology and produced on the PER.C6(R) cell line, protects ferrets from SARS.

PASCAGOULA, Miss., June 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ushering in another key milestone for the Integrated Deepwater System program, the U.S. Coast Guard and Integrated Coast Guard Systems (ICGS) today announced that preliminary design and final requirements work will commence immediately on the new Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) program. This effort will lead to a new type of highly capable, cutting-edge, medium-endurance cutter. Today's action accelerates the effort to launch the OPC by a full three years, compared to the Deepwater program's originally proposed schedule. This initial OPC contract assigned to ICGS establishes the critical first-step engineering efforts that will occur over the next twelve months.

The Jordan Company's Sensus Metering Systems Acquires the Assets of NexusData
NEW YORK, June 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Jordan Company, L.P. ("Jordan") announced that Sensus Metering Systems, Inc. ("Sensus"), a company formed by Jordan in December 2003 to acquire the Invensys Metering Systems business from Invensys plc, completed the purchase of certain assets of NexusData, Inc. ("Nexus") on June 8, 2004. The acquisition of Nexus will provide Sensus with a fixed network automatic meter reading ("AMR") capability for the water, gas and electric utility markets. The combination of the Company's existing mobile radio read AMR system and NexusData's fixed base AMR system will enable Sensus to offer its customers the most comprehensive AMR solution options available in the utility marketplace.
