Federal District Court Denies Defendants' Motion for a New Trial to Reconsider Its Grant of Preliminary Injunction in Favor of Plaintiffs in Federal Goldspring Litigation

Parent, et al. issued an order denying the Defendants' Motion for New Trial (Reconsideration) which had requested that the Court vacate the April 18th order (see reprint of April 24th press release below). The Motion was denied as the Defendants failed to demonstrate clear error or offer new evidence. This denial puts the Plaintiffs in an extremely favorable strategic position with regard to their ability to prevail in this litigation and provides Goldspring with much deserved relief in implementing its business plan without further distraction from this litigation.

Habanero Earns Interest in 85.5 Square Miles of Contiguous Alberta Oil Sands Leases Through Equity Interest in Private Oil Sands Company

("Habanero") (TSX-V:HAO), (Pink Sheets:HBNRF), (Frankfurt:HRJ) is extremely pleased to announce that it has been informed by Andora Energy Corporation ("Andora"), a private company, that Pan Orient Energy Corp. (news release August 1, 2006) now owns approximately 36 percent of the outstanding Andora Energy Corp. shares. Upon completion of the remaining transaction, currently scheduled for mid-September, Pan Orient will own a minimum 51 percent interest in Andora. Binding lock-up agreements exist between Pan Orient and certain shareholders of Andora, ensuring Pan Orient a minimum 51 percent ownership in Andora. In addition to Pan Orient's controlling interest in Andora, under the terms of the agreements, three of the five Andora directors and the Andora chief executive officer will be nominees of Pan Orient. Habanero owns 700,000 shares of Andora.
