Chelsea Therapeutics Reports Positive Results From Phase I Trial of CH-4051
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chelsea Therapeutics International, Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHTP) announced positive findings from its Phase I trial of CH-4051, the L-isomer of CH-1504 and second drug candidate from its portfolio of orally bioavailable, non-metabolized antifolates. Data from this single and multiple ascending dose study demonstrated that CH-4051 is safe and well tolerated up to a maximally tolerated dose of 7.5mg.
StellarOne Corporation Reports Improved First Quarter Results
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StellarOne Corporation (Nasdaq:STEL) (StellarOne) today reported first quarter 2009 earnings of $146 thousand for the first quarter and a net loss available to common shareholders of $298 thousand, or $0.01 per diluted common share. Those results compare to net income of $2.1 million, or diluted earnings per share of $0.14, during the same period in the prior year and reflect improvement on a linked quarter basis to the net loss to common shareholders of $898 thousand, or $0.04 per diluted common share, for the fourth quarter of 2008. The results for the first quarter of 2009 included a provision for loan losses of $7.8 million related primarily to increased specific reserves within the residential real estate development portfolio.
Historic John Handley High School Includes Mondoturf Ecofill Star and Mondotrack in Multimillion-Dollar Renovation
WINCHESTER, Va., April 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- John Handley High School, which is listed on the National and Virginia Register of Historic Places, is installing Mondoturf Ecofill Star artificial turf and Mondotrack at its Jimmy Wilkins Stadium at the Handley Bowl. The privately endowed public high school, which opened in 1924, will soon give its students the chance to train, practice and compete on the same surface that was the official track of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
