Millicom Announces Acquisition in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
NEW YORK and BERTRANGE, Luxembourg, Sept. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Millicom International Cellular S.A. ("Millicom") (Nasdaq:MICC) (Stockholmsborsen and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: MIC) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Oasis, a GSM mobile operation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the ``Congo"), from Orascom Telecom Holding SAE for US$35 million. The Congo has one of the largest populations in Africa and the acquisition of Oasis will increase Millicom's population under coverage by over 60 million to 145 million people in seven countries across Africa. The Congo has some two million mobile subscribers and a penetration rate of just 3%; Oasis currently has 77,000 subscribers.
Katrina Disaster Animal Rescue Update:
SLIDELL, La., Sept. 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Noah's Wish, a not-for-profit organization that works exclusively to rescue and shelter animals in disasters, is caring for 642 rescued animals at a temporary shelter in Slidell, Louisiana. Cats, dogs, rabbits, ducks, chickens, geese, a rat, a snake, a turtle, hamsters, a scorpion, a tarantula and one emu are among the animals that have been rescued in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by Noah's Wish and Slidell Animal Control. At the request of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), Noah's Wish has taken 49 owned cats from the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzalez, Louisiana. The cats will be cared for at the temporary shelter in Slidell until they can be reunited with their owners.

Horizon Offshore Provides Financial Guidance for 2005
HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Horizon Offshore, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HOFF) announced today financial guidance for 2005. The Company presently estimates EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and non-cash charges, as defined) to be between $45 million and $50 million for fiscal year 2005. These estimates have been reduced for unusually higher than normal charges of approximately $6.5 million mostly related to legal costs incurred and settlement charges recorded on outstanding claims and litigation and other non-recurring charges with respect to the Company's recapitalization.
