Quadrino Schwartz Asks New York's Legislature to Respond to Governor Spitzer's Veto of a Bill On Late Filing of Insurance Claims
NEW YORK, Sept. 4, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Governor Spitzer issued a veto on a long-awaited bill that would no longer allow insurance companies in New York to deny claims based upon the alleged late filing of an insurance claim. Denials of insurance claims for "Late Notice" have been a tremendous problem in New York for policyholders who have legitimate claims but did not notify their insurers as promptly as possible. All other 49 States in the country have a rule allowing late notice in many circumstances, so New York stands out as the last place that remains a safe haven for insurance companies on this issue.

The company collected samples in June of 2007 from a newly discovered river flat area of the Pampana North. DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 4, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) today announced that its members significantly increased their borrowings from the Bank during the past month when mortgage and credit markets were in turmoil. Fulfilling a primary component of its mission, the Bank provided an additional $2.0 billion in funding to its members through advances (secured loans). The additional borrowings resulted in an increase of 8.6 percent in the Bank's outstanding balance of advances to members, from $22.7 billion on July 31, 2007 to $24.7 billion as of August 31, 2007.
