Pacific Sunwear Announces April Sales Increase 23 Percent -- Same Store Sales Up 14 Percent
ANAHEIM, Calif., May 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. (Nasdaq:PSUN) today reported that total sales for the four weeks of fiscal April ending April 29, 2006 were $94.3 million, an increase of 23.3 percent over total sales of $76.4 million during the same period last year. Total Company same store sales increased 14.0 percent during the same period. By concept, PacSun same store sales increased 14.6 percent and d.e.m.o. same store sales increased 9.5 percent compared to the same four week period last year.
