Renault Trucks in Engine Cooperation with China's Dong Feng Motors
GOTEBORG, Sweden, Oct. 24, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Volvo's (Nasdaq:VOLVY) subsidiary, Renault Trucks has concluded an agreement covering technology transfer pertaining to truck engines with the Chinese truck manufacturer Dong Feng Motors. The agreement is intended to provide Dong Feng Motors the possibility of equipping its trucks with Renault engines.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 24, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Atlas Copco Group (Other OTC:ATLKF) reported third quarter revenues of MSEK 11,833 (12,885). Profit after financial items was MSEK 1,241(1,287), a margin of 10.5% (9.9), before a goodwill impairment charge of MSEK 6,950. The charge, related to goodwill from acquisitions in the Rental Service business area, has no cash flow effect but turned reported profit to a loss.

Biosensor Applications: Artificial Dog Nose Detected Cocaine in the U.S.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 24, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- During tests in the United States, Biosensor Application's narcotics detector, "the artificial dog nose," has been able to detect cocaine in cargo containers. The tests were conducted by the customs authorities in the United States and Canada. The detector identified cocaine in three containers and generated a negative reading for the empty container.
