Viscount Reports Higher Revenues, Reduced Losses
BURNABY, B.C., Nov. 18, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Viscount Systems Inc. (OTCBB:VSYS) President and CEO Stephen Pineau is pleased to announce The Company has reported improved financials for its third quarter. Sales for the three months ended September 30, 2002 were $905,642. This was an increase of 17% over the $776,290 recorded for the same period in 2001 and the company's second consecutive quarterly increase. The company loss improved to $219,876 compared to the $380,125 loss in the second quarter of 2002. The company reported a profit of $23,742 for its third quarter of 2001 before the company went public.

Meda Acquires Rights to Colifoam, Proctofoam and Epifoam from GlaxoSmithKline
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 18, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Meda AB (Other OTC:MDABF) (Stockholm:MEDAa), the Swedish Specialty Pharmaceutical Company, has agreed to a deal with the GlaxoSmithKline Group (GSK) on products for local treatment of inflammatory diseases in the distal bowel, marketed under the brand names Colifoam(R) and Proctofoam(R). CORRECTION: Delisting of the AvestaPolarit Shares from the Helsinki and Stockholm Stock Exchanges
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 18, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) --The Company corrects the date that the Helsinki Exchanges informed them of delisiting. Helsinki Exchanges informed AvestaPolarit on Friday, November 15, that the AvestaPolarit shares will be delisted from the Main List in Helsinki when Outokumpu Oyj in the current arbitration process to redeem all outstanding shares in AvestaPolarit Oyj Abp has gained title as the sole owner to all the shares. Fulfilling this condition means that the delisting in Helsinki will be postponed by probably some months beyond the year-end date for which AvestaPolarit applied.
