Jack D. Sobel, M.D., dean and distinguished professor, Wayne State University School of Medicine, will be honored at Karmanos Cancer Institute’s 25th annual Partners Event, Friday, Sept. 21, at Detroit’s Michigan Building Theatre. Dr. Sobel is being recognized for his outstanding career as a medical leader, clinician and educator. This event also celebrates the accomplishments of the Partners Committee, young professionals who have worked tirelessly to raise more than $16 million to support the cancer research program at Karmanos. Funds from this year’s event will support pancreatic cancer research.
