LUND, Sweden, Nov. 8, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Axis Communications and Fibrenetix, a Pan-European storage manufacturer, have signed a strategic business agreement. Fibrenetix manufactures a diverse range of storage products and distributes to a wide range of storage distributors and Value Added Resellers across Europe, Asia and the US. As a result of this business, the AXIS StorPoint NAS (Network Attached Storage) 100 server is now part of a complete product offering that is being made available on key European markets such as the UK, Germany, Benelux and Spain.

The first Fibrenetix product to result from the partnership with Axis is the fault-tolerant NAS device, Fibrenetix X-RAY NAS80, which is aimed at entry-level and workgroup market segments. It will be launched at Comdex, in Las Vegas, Nov. 13-17.
