COPENHAGEN, Denmark, June 10, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- In May 2002 the number of international scheduled passengers increased at Copenhagen Airport

In May 2002 the total number of passengers shows a decrease of 1.0% compared to the same month in 2001.

In the month of May 2002 the number of international passengers has decreased by 0.1%. The number of international scheduled passenger increased by 1.3%, while the number of international charter passengers decreased by 18.1%. The accumulated figure of the first five months of 2002 shows that international scheduled passengers has increased by 1.4% compared to the same period last year.

In the month of May 2002 the number of domestic passengers decreased. The decrease was 8.7% compared to May 2001. The accumulated figure of the first five months of 2002 shows a decrease of 8.6% compared to the same period last year.

In May 2002 the total number of takeoffs and landings has decreased by 12.1%, while the tonnage shows a decrease by 7.1%. The accumulated figure of the first five months of 2002 shows that takeoffs and landings decreased by 10.9% while the tonnage decreased by 7.1%.
