HiQ Receives New Order Worth SEK 40 Million From the Swedish Defence Material Administration for JAS 39 Gripen Training Simulators

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 28, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The IT and management consultancy, HiQ, has received a new order from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV). This order, which is worth close to SEK 40 million, is for the development of simulators in 2002 to be used in JAS 39 Gripen training for fighter pilots.

In March HiQ received orders worth SEK 24 million and has now received an additional order for almost SEK 40 million.

"HiQ holds a strong position as a leading supplier of services and equipment for training simulators and development of simulation modelling. The agreement is a clear indication of this and also shows that our customer has great faith in HiQ," said Rolf Andersson, Managing Director HiQ Approve AB.

"In our opinion, the need for expertise in simulation technology, both for military and civil applications, will continue to increase. As the use of civil technology and investments in IT increase within the armed forces, the demand for simulation and testing of products is also growing," said Anderson.

HiQ has been working with high-tech training simulators for JAS 39 Gripen since 1992 and has significant experience with simulators for defence purposes.
