Digital Vision Digital Receivers and Decoders to PBS -- First Order Received


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Vision has received the first order for the delivery of BitLink digital television satellite receivers and decoders to PBS, the U.S. based Public Broadcasting Service. The order value amounts to 2.5 million USD. The delivery will take place during the last quarter 2002.

PBS has placed the order in accordance with the general agreement that was signed in July between Digital Vision and PBS (press release July 23, 2002). The general agreement, with a contract value estimated to 5 million USD, is planned to be divided into three deliveries during a three-year period.

BitLink Professional HDTV Decoder meets the highest standards in picture quality, flexibility and reliability, for both HDTV and SDTV. The BitLink platform affords cable, satellite and terrestrial operators, plus new players, a cost effective and flexible way to transit to the DTV market.

Digital Vision's business concept is to offer state-of-the-arttechnology and products to clients in film/video, multimedia and thedistribution of digital television within three business areas:


-    Media Mastering, e.g. the digital mastering of feature films,
     TV-shows and commercials and the adaptation of these to DVD
-    Media Networking, the adaptation of images and sound to digital
     transmission networks
-    Digital Cinema, the digitalisation of traditional film for cinemas
