Ehrenkrantz King Nussbaum: Former Thomson Financial Strategist Hired to Spearhead Institutional Research

GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Nov. 4, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ehrenkrantz King Nussbaum (www.eknstock.com), a full-service financial services firm designed to meet the varied needs of institutional and individual clientele, is pleased to announce the hiring of Joseph S. Kalinowski as the firm's Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Kalinowski will oversee the institutional research platform at EKN. He was most recently Senior Equity Strategist at Thomson Financial Corporation.

At Thomson Financial, Mr. Kalinowski was responsible for the execution and integrity of all institutional research. He has appeared on Bloomberg Television, Bridge News, CNBC, CNNfn, Reuter's and Yahoo! FinanceVision. Mr. Kalinowski has also been referenced by Barron's, Financial Times, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He is a member of the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR), the New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. By joining EKN, the firm now boasts one of the industry's dominant experts in data aggregation, macro analysis and earnings forecasting.

"Mr. Kalinowski brings a wealth of institutional awareness, market recognition and money management experience to EKN. His diverse knowledge and savvy investment style will be an integral part of our firm's growth in the institutional marketplace," said Thomas Guigliano, President of Ehrenkrantz King Nussbaum. "Our research team has years of experience with historical market data and has the ability to recognize the trends of those companies expected to outperform or underperform the general market indices."

Mr. Kalinowski has developed a unique method of evaluating potential investments. The SPF Investment Philosophy represents a culmination of published research studies and proprietary research. It has been designed to provide an unbiased look at significant anomalies that drive equity prices. These anomalies usually fall into one of three SPF criteria: sentiment, persistence and fundamentals.

For clients of EKN, the result is value-added institutional research -- a recipe that has proven singularly lucrative for the firm's established clientele.
