Air 2000 Orders CTT's Zonal Drying System for up to Six Airbus A321 Aircraft

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 26, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- CTT Systems: A321 joins a growing number of aircraft that feature the condensation prevention system.

CTT Systems received an order from Air 2000, the U.K.'s leading leisure airline, for the CTT Zonal Drying(TM) System for up to six Airbus A321 aircraft. The order is firm for two A321 aircraft that are to be delivered starting in Spring 2003, with options for another four A321 aircraft. This is the first order for the Zonal Drying System(TM) for the A321 aircraft.

Last year, Air 2000 began its evaluation of the Zonal Drying System(TM) on three of its aircraft, two A320s and one B757 aircraft. Based on the success of the evaluation, Air 2000 has decided to move forward by ordering additional systems, and will consider ordering the system for its remaining fleet.

The Zonal Drying System(TM) is the only solution that eliminates condensation on the aircraft structure, which can lead to "rain in the plane", and frozen aircraft doors. Airlines benefit from lower maintenance costs by reducing condensation-related problems such as corrosion and soaked insulation blankets. The reduction in excess water weight also provides a significant reduction in the amount of costly fuel needed to compensate for the additional weight.

"Air 2000 has shown great confidence in our system and now they want to speed up the evaluation for the remainder of their fleet using two additional A321 aircraft," said Torbjorn Johansson, President of CTT Systems. "Furthermore, we welcome the opportunity that Airbus will participate in the evaluation of our system. Our objective is to offer the Zonal Drying System as an option when ordering new A320 and A321 aircraft."
