Bright Star Ventures: New Road Up West Side of Olivine Mountain

VANCOUVER, B.C., March 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bright Star Ventures (TSX Venture Exchange:BSV) has recently been informed by the British Columbia Ministry of Forestry of a new logging road started on Olivine Mountain to facilitate the cut block sales planned for this year. Currently, the road is already 5 kilometers in length starting from the bottom of the Tulameen River Valley on the Northwest side of Olivine Mountain.

A new access has been completed with a bridge constructed over the Tulameen River located near Champion Creek. The new logging road will traverse the Northwest side of Olivine Mountain and cross at four separate locations on the Company's recently acquired crown grants and continue on the west side of Olivine Mountain.

One of the proposed cut blocks covers large portions of the J1, J10 and L9 Fr. claims where a previous exploration program has identified a large platinum soil anomaly approximately 400 meters long and up to 200 meters wide, with Platinum values ranging over 1 gm g/t in the vicinity east of the old crown grants.

A second cut block covers a large portion of the south end of the crown grants, which is immediately north of the DP Zone discovery. The Company proposes to conduct an extensive exploration program once these cut blocks has been completed.

The new road to facilitate the proposed cut block sales will also dramatically improve Bright Star's ability to conduct an extensive 2003 exploration program on both the crown grants and large portion of the J & L Claims acquired in 2002. The Company expects that the proposed clear cutting will reveal surface outcrops, which would otherwise have been difficult or impossible to find.

The Company also reports that its delegation will leave for China before the end of this month to commence meetings and evaluation of prospective Gold properties for possible joint ventures.
