Secure Enabled Networks Joins Validian's Partner Program to Deliver Security Solutions

Secure Enabled Networks to Use Validian's Application Security Infrastructure to Provide High Trust, Cost Effective Security Solutions for National Clients

OTTAWA, July 2, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Validian Corporation (OTCBB:VLDI), an emerging provider of communication security technologies for networked environments, today announced the signing of a Value Added Reseller agreement with Secure Enabled Networks of Ottawa, Canada. S.E. Networks will implement the Validian Application Security Infrastructure (ASI) and Secure Instant Messenger (SIM) products for its customers and partners in the Canadian and U.S. Markets, primarily within its customer base and networks of contacts.

"This agreement will help our customers enhance the security of their applications without having to commit to a large investment in network infrastructure," said Steve Schauland, S.E. Networks president. "Installing a communication network is becoming more and more sophisticated and this is a major part of our business. Securing diverse and distributed networks to allow applications to operate in full security has become very complex. Validian ASI simplifies our task of securing applications and networks at a fraction of the cost of alternate solutions. Our implementation delays to install a secure environment will be reduced dramatically."

"We are very happy to bring S.E. Networks into our Partner Program," said Dr. Andre Maisonneuve, president and chief executive officer of Validian. "We have a long history of working with the principals of S.E. Networks. Their experience in setting up and managing increasingly complex networks will allow their customers to benefit from Validian's products, at a total cost of ownership in line with their technical and financial resources."

Validian's Application Security Infrastructure addresses the requirement for secure transport of data, for authentication of participating entities and for establishment of a strong level of trust between these entities. It is particularly valuable in securing distributed applications operating over distributed networks. ASI automatically manages all critical security functions between any applications, including authentication, encryption, key generation, key distribution, addressing and data transport. Data is encrypted and decrypted within each application, so information is protected at all times, even as it travels over the local corporate network segment. ASI is a software-only solution, easy to install, manage and use. It can be linked to any application, regardless of the source language, and uses industry standard encryption algorithms for end-to-end application security. It allows organizations of all sizes to enjoy the benefits and flexibility of secure communications between applications, without the traditional costs and pain imposed by alternate solutions.

Validian's Secure Instant Messaging system offers the highest level of security available for real-time communication and file exchange. It offers real-time tools for collaboration between individuals and groups, including synchronous and asynchronous collaboration, enterprise-wide presence, secure file exchange and instant messaging. SIM benefits from all the security features of the ASI infrastructure. Within a SIM exchange, all participants are authenticated and messages and files of any size and of any type, including video and audio files, can be transferred with full security.

About Secure Enabled Networks Inc.

Secure Enabled Networks is a preferred source for secure technologies and services that protect and safeguard email, software and hardware assets of any business or professional. With the demand for tools like Instant Messaging, file sharing and other means of sharing data, doorways into PC's and networks are typically left open for easy access by hackers. And now with more and more users working from more than one site, the opportunity for breaches of security are greater than ever before. Firewalls and Anti-virus programs are not enough. Even VPN has the risk of not being secure from end to end. Secure Enable Networks cost-effectively enables the full power of the network with strong security.
