Motek Named One of Los Angeles Area's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte & Touche 'Fast 50' Program

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Aug. 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- For the fourth year, Motek has been named to Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Technology Fast 50" Program for the Los Angeles area, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues during the five-year period from 1998-2002.

Motek's President and CEO Ann Price credits Motek's corporate culture and software product development philosophy with the company's fast growth over the past five years. "Our ability to help companies grow with reduced supply chain operating costs has never been more important," says Price.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1998 and $1,000,000 in 2002, must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and be "technology companies" defined as companies that own proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.

Gary Dickey, Partner in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group at Deloitte & Touche's Los Angeles office says, "To succeed during prosperous times is one thing; to succeed in adversity is much more challenging, and that's exactly what the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 winners have done. We applaud Motek for its tremendous accomplishments during economically challenging times and for being one of the elite Fast 50 companies in the Los Angeles area."

Winners of the 20 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
