Micronic Announces Order for Advanced TFT-LCD Photomask Pattern Generation Tool


TABY, Sweden, Sept. 22, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Micronic Laser Systems AB (Stockholmsborsen's Attract 40:MICR) (Other OTC:MICLF), a leading manufacturer of laser pattern generation equipment to the display and semiconductor industries, today announced that the company has received an order for an LRS series advanced TFT-LCD photomask pattern generation tool from Japan. The tool is expected to ship during the second half of 2004.

"We are pleased to see a continued strong growth of the TFT pattern generator market as we predicted earlier this year," said Sven Lofquist, president and CEO of Micronic Laser Systems AB.

This order marks the third LRS series system booked for TFT-LCD displays during the last three months.
