Healthcare Executive to Head Up Communication Synergy Technologies Inc. Subsidiary for Radiology Reporting Solution Sales

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Communication Synergy Technology Inc. (ComSynTech) (Pink Sheets:CSYT), developer of document management solutions, today announced its appointment of Ronald M. Pedersen as Vice President of Sales.

Pedersen will manage all sales programs for the company's MedSynTech subsidiary InFORM Radiology Reporting Solution.

Pedersen joins ComSynTech after serving as Vice President of Sales for EKO Systems, a point of care perioperative information system addressing the needs of anesthesiology in the hospital market. Previously, he was Vice President of Sales for Nashville based Healthcare Management Systems, a McKesson company (NYSE:MCK) managing technology needs for hospitals across the continuum of care including pharmacy, nursing, financial, results reporting, and radiology.

In his new role at ComSynTech, Ron will apply his leadership skills and broad understanding of the medical marketplace to strategically place the InFORM Radiology Reporting Solution into radiology practices and departments throughout the United States.

Developed to improve the quality of care while reducing operating costs incurred by radiology practices, the InFORM solution brings significant efficiencies in communication workflow throughout radiology practices and departments. Most significant is the speed and efficiency with which it allows radiology reporting to occur, saving time and cost in the preparation and transfer of diagnostic information to referring physicians.

According to Seth Borg, CEO of ComSynTech, "Ron's unique understanding of and broad experience in the healthcare industry, especially at points of care, brings a firsthand understanding of the critical nature of the importance of doing things better, more efficiently and with a critical eye on cost containment and continuous improvement."

From Ron's perspective, "ComSynTech's approach to solving problems in the creation, distribution and storage of diagnostic information is based on practical experience and recognition of the fact that workflow processes in medicine must be simplified to hold the line on cost while ultimately benefiting the patient. People tend to think that improving healthcare quality necessitates increases in cost. The MedSynTech InFORM Solution shows otherwise. It's ease of use, speed with which it operates and the workflow it monitors, all add up to better care at less cost."

The InFORM Solution features modules that address the creation of diagnostic reports, their tracking and distribution, scheduling examinations and the monitoring of practice performance parameters to assure continuous improvement.

Commenting on Ron joining ComSynTech, Michael Perrotta, the group's Chief Operating Officer, noted that "having him (Ron) on our team brings a significant market knowledge and an awareness of where our systems will do the most good in the market."

Besides his broad healthcare sales and marketing experience, Ron is a decorated Naval aviator and holds an MBA from Providence College.
