Town Gives ComSynTech's New Document Storage System a 'Trial Run'

BRIGHTON, N.Y., March 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Communication Synergy Technologies Inc. (ComSynTech) (Other OTC:CSYT), a business solutions company, is pleased to release the following information regarding the Brighton Township Beta test of the ComSynTech CDV1000 Document Vault.

Like many municipalities throughout the state and nation, the town of Brighton is faced with a growing concern.

How can the municipality securely store approximately 2.5 million documents and related records to preserve its historical, contractual, environmental and legal records, while assuring that those reports will be accessible and readable now and in the future?

Brighton Town Supervisor Sandra L. Frankel and Town Clerk Susan Kramarsky have searched far and wide to find a solution to this problem.

They may have found an answer right here at home.

Frankel, who has been committed to document access and preservation, says that an innovative new product created by a Brighton company might provide a method to streamline the town's document storage process while delivering long-term archiving savings.

"It is my hope that a software product called 'The Document Vault' will provide a simple and cost effective solution because it enables preservation storage to be a seamless part of the management process of any document," says Frankel.

The "Document Vault", a unique document archiving and preservation solution developed by Communications Synergy Technologies, Inc. (ComSynTech) of Brighton, is a software system that captures documentation via scanners, faxes, or from any other digital form. The "Document Vault" then manages those documents regardless of the software or systems used to generate them.

Documents are then archived and preserved in human readable form. A powerful search engine provides for efficient retrieval of required originals that have been moved to microfilm. Important documents may also be stored (up to 100 years) on the system for preservation at a later time.

What does this all mean for the town?

Town Clerk Susan Kramarsky, the manager for all Town of Brighton records, says the new system will make her work much more efficient.

"The Document Vault system provides an extraordinarily simple solution to the very complex problem of managing and tracking documents manually, especially in light of New York State records retention requirements for both state and local governments," says Kramarsky.

"This inventive information preservation and retrieval system will definitely save time and storage costs," she adds.

The "Document Vault" system is currently being tested in the Brighton Town Clerk's Office, and Kramarsky says that early results are extremely favorable.

"The use of an innovative product developed by a Brighton company, which will ultimately provide long term savings for our residents, is a win-win situation for all involved," says Kramarsky.
