Hacienda Heights Resident Wins the WIENERMOBILE(tm) for the Day to Fulfill Wish of a Lifetime Bringing Magic to Special Olympics Southern California Fall Games

HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif., Oct. 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- George Roberts', of Hacienda Heights, CA, wish has been granted to win the world famous WIENERMOBILE(tm) for the day. Roberts was selected as one of 50 winners in the first-ever Oscar Mayer(r) Oh I Wish(tm) contest for "mustering" up a creative wish he wanted to have fulfilled with the WIENERMOBILE(tm). Roberts' wish is coming true, as he'll use the WIENERMOBILE(tm) to bring magic to Special Olympics Southern California's 2004 Fall Games. Hotdoggers Deborah Le Mense and Krystin Kruschke will be passing out hot dogs to all the athletes and volunteers throughout the day.

Earlier this year, Oscar Mayer(r) launched the Oh I Wish(tm) contest looking for "kids" of all ages to share their WIENERMOBILE(tm) wishes in 50 words or less. Entries were judged based on originality, creativity, use of the WIENERMOBILE(tm) and goodwill. Fifty lucky winners have been selected to win the use of one of the world-famous WIENERMOBILE(tm) vehicles for a day and up to $5,000 to help make their wish come true.

Roberts was one of more than 70,000 people who wished for the WIENERMOBILE(tm) as part of the Oscar Mayer(r) Oh I Wish(tm) contest. The WIENERMOBILE(tm) vehicle, complete with its official drivers, known as the Hotdoggers, will be rolling in to "ketchup" with George Roberts to help fulfill his WIENERMOBILE(tm) wish at the 2004 Special Olympics Southern California Fall Games on Saturday, October 23 at California State University Fullerton.
