Cardtronics Ranks Among Inc. 500's Fastest Growing Companies for Fourth Year

HOUSTON, Oct. 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cardtronics, the nation's largest independent owner/operator of ATMs, has been named one of America's fastest growing privately owned companies by Inc. magazine for the fourth year in a row.

The 23rd annual Inc. 500 list ranks the nation's leading entrepreneurial firms according to sales growth during the previous five years. Cardtronics, ranked 297, achieved a 66% compound annual growth rate from $14.7 million in net sales in 1999 to $110.4 million in 2003.

"Being recognized again by Inc. is gratifying," said Jack Antonini, president and CEO of Cardtronics. "It is a measure of our success in the context of well-run entrepreneurial companies throughout the U.S. and it is a testament to the hard work and determination of our entire Cardtronics team."

To be eligible for this year's Inc. 500, companies had to be independent and privately held through their fiscal year 2003, have had at least $200,000 in sales in the base year of 1999, and their 2003 sales had to exceed 2002 sales. Inc. verifies all information using tax forms and financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials.
