CANDIA, N.H., Nov. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Liska Biometry (OTCBB:LSKA), a biometrics solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Brian P. Metcalfe to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. Mr. Metcalfe, a 20 year industry veteran with a wealth of domestic and international government contacts, will lead the Company's worldwide marketing and corporate communications activities and will be responsible for overseeing the Company's implementation of an international sales network.
Mr. Metcalfe has been working with Liska since June 2004 as a senior business development advisor and his recent appointment recognizes the valuable contribution he has made in developing vertical customers and pursuing new market opportunities for the Company.
Brian is president of Metcalfe & Associates Business Consultants, a highly successful Ottawa based business-consulting firm that provides marketing support and government relations assistance to major corporations in the defense electronics and aerospace industry sectors. Brian has acted as senior marketing and government relations advisor to leading North American and European aerospace & defense companies in support of successful contract awards for "Major Crown" government procurement projects, export sales and market development activities as well as the negotiation and implementation of highly successful Industrial Regional Development (offset) initiatives in Canada and abroad. He has held positions as the Canadian Director of Trade Development for the State of Kansas, Marketing Representative for Raytheon Communications Systems Division, Marketing Consultant to Cormorant Helicopters, and Senior Consultant to Israel Aircraft Industries.
Prior to forming Metcalfe & Associates in 1990, Brian was the Corporate Director of Government Relations for Philips Electronics N.V., Director of International Marketing for M.E.L. Defense Systems and a Senior Marketing Advisor for the Federal Government of Canada. Mr. Metcalfe is a long-time member of the Canadian Defense Industry Association, Ontario Aerospace Council and he was for many years the Secretary to the Marketing Committee of the Aerospace Industry Association of Canada.
