Goldnev Announces Appointment of New President and CEO


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Goldnev Resources Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange:GNZ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Darryl Gunn as President and Chief Executive Officer, taking the place of Mr. Basil Pantages who has stepped down but who will remain on the Board of Directors.

Mr. Gunn, a member of the Alberta Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists, and holding a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, has 27 years experience in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. As a Petroleum Engineer, Mr. Gunn has extensive experience in petroleum exploitation, business development, technical innovation, production, drilling and completions engineering. He has experience both domestically and internationally, and had 13 years experience with a major Canadian oil and gas producer, in addition to acting as Operations and Engineering manager with a junior oil and gas producer. Mr. Gunn also has acted as a consultant for several junior and medium sized Canadian oil and gas companies involved in high levels of exploitation.

For clarification, the directors and officers of the Company are now comprised of the following:

The Company further announces that it has granted incentive stock options to Mr. Gunn entitling him to purchase 750,000 common shares, exercisable at a price of $0.225 per share on or before November 21, 2009.

A balance of 1,430,395 shares remains available for issuance under the Plan.
