Crisis Management Software Company Elects Tech Veteran Lawrence S. Jordan to Serve as Chairman of the Board, Names John Tullie President and Chief Executive Officer


LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- E Team, Inc., the proven, market-leading provider of collaborative software for crisis management, announced organizational changes that will enable the company to continue to address its unprecedented growth. E Team's board of directors have elected Lawrence S. Jordan, an accomplished high technology business and marketing executive, to serve as chairman of the board starting January 1, 2005. John Tullie, formerly E Team's vice president of worldwide sales, has been named president and chief executive officer of the company effective immediately. In other company news, E Team has promoted two executives -- vice president Robert Shiverdecker and director Robert Patten -- to executive vice president and vice president positions, respectively.

These organizational changes follow a year of unprecedented growth for E Team and are designed to ensure the superior levels of sales, product development, worldwide customer support, and training for which the company is known.

John Tullie Named E Team's President and Chief Executive Officer

In his new role as president and chief executive officer, Mr. Tullie has overall responsibility for E Team and will set global vision and strategy for the company, with particular emphasis on continuing to expand market share for E Team's collaborative software solutions. Prior to his appointment as president and CEO, Mr. Tullie served as a vice president overseeing all sales, marketing, professional services, and support functions.

Mr. Tullie brings 30 years of technology industry experience and a successful leadership background to E Team, with a broad range of management experience in software security, software development tools, document workflow/image processing, business form automation, and CAD/CAM markets. Prior to E Team, Mr. Tullie was vice president of North American sales at Access360, a leading software security provider. Previously, he was vice president of North American sales at Continuus Software Corporation, where he played a key role in leading the company to a successful IPO in 1999. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tullie served as vice president of west region sales for FileNet Corporation and Wang Software, and vice president of sales and marketing at F3 Software Corporation. Mr. Tullie also spent 13 years in various sales management roles throughout North America with Prime Computer, Inc., after beginning his career at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Lawrence S. Jordan Named E Team's Chairman of the Board

E Team announced the election of board member Lawrence S. Jordan to chairman of the board effective January 1, 2005. An accomplished business and marketing executive with more than 30 years of high technology experience, Mr. Jordan has been involved with E Team in various capacities and is an investor in the company.

As a venture capitalist, Mr. Jordan has personally invested in over 20 angel-funded startups in the past eight years, sitting on a variety of boards of directors and corporate advisory boards. Additionally, he provides consulting services relating to business management and revenue acceleration practices to business enterprises, primarily in technology. Mr. Jordan began his career in sales and sales management with Honeywell Information Systems and later started the southwestern sales organization for Prime Computer, ultimately serving as international vice president for the Fortune 500 company. Joining FileNet as a founding member of the senior management team for sales, Mr. Jordan led the Orange County (CA) software company's strategic sales efforts in content management for 12 years during its growth from $0 to $200 million in sales. Mr. Jordan most recently completed a three-year term as chief executive officer and chairman of TouchStone Software Inc.

Robert Shiverdecker Named Executive Vice President, Field Operations

Robert Shiverdecker has been named executive vice president, field operations. In this new position, Mr. Shiverdecker is responsible for overseeing all customer-facing activities, including sales, partnerships, customer support, and training. Mr. Shiverdecker joined E Team in 2003 and was most recently vice president, partner relations for the company.

Mr. Shiverdecker has over 30 years of experience in high tech and related industries with an emphasis in channel-focused marketing activities. As president and founder of his own company, Mr. Shiverdecker provided a full spectrum of domestic and international pre- and post-sales activities including sales, support, and training for a wide range of companies such as Xerox, NEC, Novell, BellSouth, Wang, and IBM, among others. Mr. Shiverdecker owned and operated three Authorized Novell Training Centers, providing training to end users in Florida for over a decade. Following the sale of his company, Mr. Shiverdecker worked as a consultant in international markets, and most recently, in regional and national positions with Continuus Software and Allegis Software.

Robert Patten Named Vice President, Product Management

E Team announced that Robert Patten has been named vice president, product management. Mr. Patten joined E Team in September 2004 as director, product marketing. In the new position, Mr. Patten will take an expanded role in overseeing development of vertically focused collaborative software applications for the company.

Mr. Patten brings over 20 years of experience in management, product marketing, and software development to E Team. Prior to joining E Team, Mr. Patten was vice president of sales engineering and product management for PfN Technologies, Inc., a company that designs, develops, and markets IP VPN technology and solutions. Mr. Patten previously held director-level positions with Continuus Software, and SystemSoft, Corp., and has over a decade of engineering experience with National Semiconductor. Mr. Patten has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Maine.
