Munters Wins Large Order for Precooling Systems


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Munters has received an order for 10 precooling systems for large gasturbines from Siemens. The units will be installed in power plants in the Middle East.

Munters Euroform GmbH, has received orders for 10 precooling systems for large Siemens gas turbines in the Middle East. Munters precooling systems cool the inlet air to the gas turbine and in these cases often increase the output of each turbine during hot summer days by 10-15% depending on the size of the units.

The order value is EUR 2,5 million.

Wulf Kraneis, Business Unit Manager, Munters Germany, said "This is a large success and shows the acceptance for Munters evaporative cooling techniques for this kind of applications."

All systems will be delivered during 2005.
