WMD Holdings Group, Inc. Announces Frameshift's Second Album, Featuring Sebastian Bach, Now Released

LOS ANGELES, May 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- WMD Holdings Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:WMDH) announces that Frameshift's An Absence of Empathy, featuring vocalist Sebastian Bach, has shipped worldwide. It is the much-anticipated follow-up to Frameshift's 2003 critically acclaimed Unweaving the Rainbow debut, which featured Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie.

International distribution and licensing deals are in place to ensure widespread availability of the album. Oarfin Distribution (North America); Avalon/Marquee (Asia); Hellion (Brazil); Just For Kicks Music (Germany, Switzerland and Austria); Atenzia (Scandanavia); and Bertus (Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands). Dozens of other independent resellers covering various European/South American territories are in place.

Sebastian Bach fronted Skid Row, the first metal band to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200. He is responsible for 22 million+ record sales. He's starred on Broadway in "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Jekyll and Hyde" and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". Bring 'Em Bach Alive, his solo album, was released in 1998, and has been heard on international stages with his current touring band, which can also be seen on his Forever Wild DVD. A frequent presence on the small screen, Bach has been welcomed numerous times on MTV, VH1 and WB's The Gilmore Girls.

Frameshift mastermind Henning Pauly describes An Absence of Empathy as a heavy soundtrack to a movie that doesn't exist. His compositions are visual, and coupled with Bach's metal/Broadway approach, achieves a synthesis rarely heard in popular music today. Musically, its modern Prog-Metal roots are more on the subtle side as, on this project, a more epic mentality has been brought to the fore. The project is the logical continuation in ProgRock Record's lineup of high-quality titles. The label continues to add high profile musicians to its catalog while maintaining true to its philosophy that the music has to be good no matter whose name is on it. After James LaBrie, Michael Sadler (Saga), Guy Manning, Mike Keneally, and Jody Ashworth (TSO), Bach represents another step forward in worldwide recognition for the label.

PRR president Shawn Gordon said, "The pre-sales for the new Frameshift album have been great and reviewers are already loving it." One of said reviews read: "Henning's musicianship and writing style in this album have clearly set a precedent for all 21st century prog-metal!"
