Element 21 Golf Company Expands Market Reach with New Hybrid Materials

IRVINE, Calif., May 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Element 21 Golf Company (E21) (OTCBB:EGLF) is pleased to announce that they have reached an understanding regarding worldwide licensing of a 3 dimensional scandium, boron carbide, filament wound graphite composite shaft technology from Hyper Industries, LLC subject to the completion of definitive legal agreements.

Hyper Industries is a leading materials engineering services company as well as a developer of high strength hybrid composite and metallic materials, and is largely responsible for the introduction to the golf industry of the widely used titanium alloys, hyper steel alloy, bi-matrix and composite graphite systems.

The new technology, the first 3 dimensional scandium-composite shaft construction technology, promises to make ultra light, ultra strong and the most dimensionally stable shafts among the graphite composite golf shafts available on the market today. Current graphite shaft technology uses a 2 dimensional fiber and matrix system which uses only a wound or woven graphite fiber with a resin matrix. Consistent with all E21 Metal shafts, the new scandium composite will feature E21's proprietary ShockBlok(tm) System.

This state of the art technology will enable E21 to strengthen its status as a high technology golf equipment manufacturing company. It will also broaden E21's market reach by offering products in several price categories to the Original Equipment Manufacturers and golf component markets as well as creating exclusive lines of E21 golf equipment with a much higher market penetration potential.

The E21 scandium golf shaft is already becoming known as the best performing metal shaft on the market for irons, wedges, utilities and soon to be unveiled professional driver shaft golf equipment categories. "The addition of the scandium graphite composite systems gives depth to Element 21 Golf Company's lineup of high performance golf equipment and makes our company more competitive against large established shaft manufacturers with older technologies and less expensive products" stated E21's President and CEO, Nataliya Hearn, Ph.D., P.E.
