FaceKey Corporation Granted Patent for Biometric Technology


SAN ANTONIO, July 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- FaceKey Corporation (Pink Sheets:FEKY), a biometrics technology provider specializing in security and access control, announced today that the Company has been granted a new patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The patent, titled "Fingerprint verification system utilizing a facial image-based heuristic search method," utilizes the best features of face recognition technology and fingerprint recognition technology to greatly increase the accuracy of biometric security solutions. The patent enables FaceKey to provide access control and time and attendance systems for large groups of people using a biometric-based system without the use of additional identifiers.
