East Delta Resources Corp. Comments on Ticker Symbol Change

MONTREAL, July 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- East Delta Resources Corp. (OTCBB:EDLTE) sought to clarify the status of its SEC requisite filings that have been delayed due to an auditor change. East Delta recently disclosed in an 8-K filing with the SEC that it has changed its independent auditors.

Victor I.H. Sun, President and CEO of East Delta, stated, "We were very satisfied with our previous auditors, but as our activities in China began to expand, they informed us that they would not be able to adequately service us in China. Our new auditors, Malone & Bailey, specialize in small public companies and maintain an excellent Chinese support staff. Unfortunately, the transition has not been as smooth as anticipated, causing us to miss our filing deadline."

The Company has been assured by its new auditors that the audit is expected to be completed, and the deficiency corrected, fairly quickly.

The Company further assures its investors that it anticipates the ticker symbol's temporary change will have no effect on the Company's operations.
