NEW YORK, July 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telestone Technologies Corporation (AMEX:TST) announced on July 27 that it has been awarded a two-year $2 million contract from Inner Mongolia Netcom to enhance PHS (Personal Handyphone System) indoor wireless coverage in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the Peoples Republic of China.

According to the contract, commencing immediately, Telestone will provide and install a series of PHS wireless signal coverage products, including repeaters and trunk amplifiers, throughout Inner Mongolia Netcom's PHS indoor networks in Huhhot, the Region's capital, and Baotou, the Region's largest industrial city.

The products will serve to improve PHS reception quality in varied indoor locales, including office buildings and shopping malls. Telestone will also provide Inner Mongolia Netcom with ongoing engineering service and system maintenance for the length of the contract.

PHS is a short-range digital cordless phone system that allows the use of the handset outside the home or office, including in public spaces where antennas have been installed.

Today's announcement is Telestone's first agreement with Inner Mongolia Netcom, which is one of the Region's major telecommunications suppliers, with nearly 4 million customers.

"This agreement is another step in Telestone's plan to expand its wireless coverage business in the PRC's underdeveloped regions," said Mr. Han Daqing, Telestone Chairman and CEO. "We anticipate being able to announce further agreements for coverage boosting solutions in these regions going forward."
