Torbay Holdings Inc.: U.K. Prime Minister's Strategy Unit Publishes Designer Appliances Inc. Response to 'Improving the Life Chances of Disabled People'

MINEOLA, N.Y., Sept. 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Torbay Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:TRBY) today announced that it had been notified by the U.K. Prime Minister's Strategy Unit that a response by Tom Large, president and CEO, to an invitation to comment upon "Improving the Life Chances of Disabled People" has been published along with other responses, on the U.K. Cabinet Office's Digital Strategy Unit website (links below).

About the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit: The strategy unit provides the prime minister and government departments with the capacity for longer-term thinking, cross-cutting studies, and strategic policy work.

The unit has three key roles:

-- To support the development of strategies and policies in key areas
of government in line with the prime minister's priorities
-- To carry out occasional strategic audits to identify opportunities
and challenges facing the U.K. and U.K. government
-- To develop as a 'Centre of Excellence' to enhance strategy across
    government

The unit was established in 2002, bringing together the Performance and Innovation Unit, the Prime Minister's Forward Strategy Unit, and parts of the Centre for Management and Policy Studies. The Strategy Unit reports to the prime minister through his cabinet secretary.

Tom Large, president and CEO stated, "We consider that raising the awareness of legislators and strategic thinkers to the issues as we see them, accompanied by our suggestions for some solutions, is as important to us at this time as market awareness will be in the future. Therefore, having our views and opinions acknowledged and made public on a U.K. government website is one indication of governmental recognition of the need for change and, in this case, the U.K. government's pro-activity in attempting to change it. The response, which was in a personal email form, and further information we provided in separate dialogue, including a pre-publication copy of the clinical study on the use of the AirO2bic mouse and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, have been forwarded to the Department of Works and Pensions who are charged with implementing the report's recommendations."

Designer Appliances, Inc. is leading the way in the development of Anti.Fatigue(tm) tools and technologies that seek to address the hidden issues of fatigue so as to manage the impact that it is now being understood to have upon computer users. Anti.Fatigue(tm) design also produces products that are more 'Accessible and Assistive' to persons with dexterity impairment or disability.
