LOS ANGELES, March 8, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed four vice presidents to key positions within the company's newly formed Technical Services Sector, effective immediately.

Gregg Donley has been appointed vice president and general manager of systems support; George Petteys Jr. has been appointed vice president and general manager, strategic operations and planning; R. Michael Roberts has been appointed vice president and general manager of training and simulation; and David W. Werkheiser has been appointed vice president and general manager, life cycle optimization and engineering. All report to James L. Cameron, corporate vice president and president of the Technical Services sector.
Formed in 2006 to address the rapidly expanding logistics support, sustainment and technical services market, the Technical Services sector consolidated multiple programs and approximately 10,000 employees from within the company's other business sectors.

Donley will manage all areas associated with infrastructure maintenance such as base operations activities, range activities, and vehicle and equipment maintenance. He served most recently as president of technical services at the company's Information Technology sector. Donley joined Northrop Grumman in 1996. He earned a bachelor's degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a master's degree in public administration from West Virginia University.
Petteys will manage long-range planning and focus on the development of new markets and opportunities to grow the sector's business. He most recently served as the vice president and general manager of enterprise management services at the company's Mission Systems sector. He joined Northrop Grumman in 1968 and has held increasingly significant roles in designing and managing the development of large computer and communications systems. Petteys earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master's degree in computer sciences from the University of Southern California.
Roberts will manage integrated turnkey life cycle training services and support worldwide, including all phases of exercise support and instruction in live, virtual and constructive training domains. He served most recently as an operating unit vice president at the Information Technology sector. Roberts joined the company in 1996. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, and a master's degree in business administration from George Washington University. Roberts has completed advanced leadership and executive development programs at the Harvard University Business School and the University of Virginia, Darden School of Management.
Werkheiser will manage the spectrum of product life cycle support ranging from a single individual working in a customer depot to total performance-based logistics applications. He most recently served as the deputy to the vice president for engineering, logistics and technology at the company's Integrated Systems sector. Werkheiser earned a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Northrop Institute of Technology and has completed the executive development program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
