Sampo Professional Enables IP Control and Scheduling of Multiple Displays with Launch of 'DisplayNet' Administrator Software

Ideal for Digital Signage and Institutional Applications, DisplayNet is Compatible with All Ethernet-equipped Sampo Professional Monitors, Allowing Administrators to Monitor and Control Networks of Flat-Panel Displays

LAS VEGAS, March 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sampo Professional, a leading provider of network-enabled flat-panel display solutions for the commercial, education, hospitality and government sectors, and home theater environments, today announced the launch of their innovative "DisplayNet" Administrator software at the Systems Integration Expo(r) 2006.

Compatible with all Ethernet-equipped Sampo Professional LCD and plasma displays, DisplayNet enables administrators to monitor, control and schedule tasks for a network of IP-addressable displays from a single network computer, eliminating the need for costly control systems or PCs at display end points and making the complete Sampo Professional display solution ideal for demanding digital signage, public display and distributed learning applications.

Leveraging the ability of all Ethernet-enabled Sampo Professional flat panel displays to be controlled via a unique IP address, DisplayNet enables administrators to have central control over networked displays with the ability to assign unique user groups, power displays on and off, change volume, change video inputs and change TV channels. In addition to the ability for administrators to monitor the status of and troubleshoot networked displays, the innovative DisplayNet event manager allows users to pre-program the displays to execute various commands automatically for "touch-free" administration.

"The combination of our IP-addressable plasma and LCD displays with the exciting new DisplayNet Administrative software enables us to deliver the ideal, affordable digital signage solution for even the most challenging deployments," explained Andy Fischer, National Sales Manager for Sampo Professional. "The ability to control, monitor and troubleshoot an entire network of flat-panel displays from a single networked computer delivers a variety of benefits for the organization not the least of which includes energy savings, simplified troubleshooting, and improved up-time for signage, public display and institutional environments."

The DisplayNet Administrative software will be available in March 2006 through value-added resellers nationwide at a list price of $499.
