Unique Pizza and Subs' Massachusetts Franchisee Moves Forward With Plan for Converting Additional Locations


PITTSBURGH, April 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation (Pink Sheets:UPZS), a Delaware Corporation, is pleased to announce the expansion of its current relationship with franchisees, Joe Pittorino and David W. Nyberg, in the Boston area. The new franchisees have initiated their plan to convert additional existing pizza stores within their designated territory. In addition to their own 5 locations, due to open within 24 months, the franchisees have added a Director of Conversions responsible for fulfilling their commitment of opening an additional 39 locations via conversions.

This announcement is in accordance with Unique Pizza and Subs' strategy to grow rapidly through franchising, conversions and acquisitions. "The rapid development being exercised by our franchisees in a key strategic market like New England keeps us on track with our plan to have more than 180 locations open by the end of 2007," stated James Vowler, President and CEO.
