AdZone's OPPS System Captures Additional Chatroom Information for 16 Online Predators Recently Seen On TV

CALVERTON, N.Y., May 17, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research, Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR) today reported its OPPS Predator Profiling System has captured online chats of 16 of the predators intercepted on Dateline NBC's "To Catch a Predator" series, as well as the recent "Predators at Your Door" investigative reports produced by KUSA-TV, an NBC affiliate in Denver.

"It's only six months since we launched OPPS," said AdZone Executive Vice President Dan Wasserman, "and we have data for 16 arrested men from three dispersed jurisdictions: Ohio, Colorado, and now Florida. These TV programs not only keep the predator problem in the public eye, they also help us validate the effectiveness of OPPS. Even though we capture information on thousands of online conversations, being able to use this public information gives us a chance to get the word out about how effective OPPS truly is.

"On Dateline's April 26th airing, focused on Ohio, we captured information on 3 of 6 identified predators. On its May 3rd airing, we captured information on another 3 from Ohio of the 7 predators identified. On Dateline's May 10th airing, focused on Florida, we captured information on another 3. Finally, on KUSA-TV's April programs, we captured information on 7 of the 14 predators identified in that series.

"Two of the findings are exceptionally disturbing," said Wasserman. "The first is that, as reported last week, most of these men are out on bail and one of them immediately went back online, generating hundreds of lines of chat, much of which can only be described as 'X-rated.' Topping this is the appearance of a second arrested predator who was found to be 'trolling' in one of the truly 'kids' chat rooms. We have formally shared our findings with the network program's producers, and expressed our willingness to work with them in any way we can on these investigations.

"We will continue to work with programs like these and law enforcement organizations to provide the information OPPS offers," said Wasserman. "And as we move forward, expanding the number of chat rooms we monitor, our coverage will become even more comprehensive, and more valuable to law enforcement."
