Anadeus Finances Lawsuit Against Amazon.com for Patent Infringement

HELSINKI, Finland, June 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Swedish inventor Louise Delbor has sued Amazon.com (AMZN) in the U.S. for infringement of her kitchenware patent (U.S. Patent No. 5,725,305) , United States District Court, District of Maine; Case Number: 2:06-cv-46.

Anadeus Ltd, a company that specializes in supporting patent holders in disputes and licenses patents, has agreed to finance the litigation for Ms. Delbor.

Antti Kosunen, CEO of Anadeus, says: "We first filed a complaint against the manufacturer of infringing whisks Browne & Co., and now Amazon.com was also sued to get rightful compensation for the inventor. This case is a good example of the difficult situations that European companies and inventors often face in North America."

"I invented and patented a whisk, which is now commonly known as the Delbor whisk. As an independent inventor operating with my own money, I had almost no chance of fighting against the manufacturer or sellers. With Anadeus assisting me, I get the financial resources as well as legal and negotiations support. It is of great value that this possibility finally exists and I consider Anadeus to be the incitement to allow the innovation industry to evolve and expand," says the Swedish inventor.

Anadeus is a licensing company acquiring patents and implementing licensing and enforcement campaigns together with patent holders.
