New Alero Express Enables Enterprise-Class Content and Process Management for Companies of 50 Users or Less

Platform-Independent ECM and BPM is Now Affordable for Small- to Medium-Sized Businesses

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 29, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today Alero Technology announces its new software version for workgroups of 50 users or less, Alero Express. This just-released edition provides small to medium businesses with a comprehensive solution to meet their network requirements, without the price tag associated with products of this caliber. Alero Express gives customers and partners enterprise content management (ECM), business process management (BPM), enterprise content integration (ECI), and enterprise information integration (EII) capabilities in a single solution with a consistent, service-oriented architecture (SOA). Starting at just $300 per user, Alero Express supports all major platforms including Windows NT/2000, 4/2003; IBM AIX; Linux; HP-UX and Sun Solaris. The new version also supports all major databases -- Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, IBM DBT and IBM Informix.

"With the ability to easily orchestrate disparate applications, regardless of platform, into one single virtual repository, Alero Express dramatically reduces the development, deployment, and maintenance for either customized or off-the-shelf solutions," Maurice Correa, Alero Technology CEO says. "This allows our partners to surpass competitors by providing leading-edge solutions at a fraction of the time and cost required by others."

A typical installation and configuration for Alero Express can be performed in eight hours or less and could include: up to five document types or classes; one business process of medium complexity; two distributed storages for file replication; and integration with a database.

"Alero's installation time is significantly less than the other enterprise-wide software solutions in the market today," Hoe Joo Kim, President of SpenoCom and international IT consultant says.

According to the company, Alero Express customers expecting to see growth in the future, or corporations with greater, more complex requirements, can easily scale the new version to the Alero Enterprise Edition without changing products or additional installations. "Alero Express delivers most of the features and capabilities of the Alero Enterprise Edition in a smaller scale," Correa adds.

Alero Enterprise Edition is designed to meet enterprise-wide requirements, including support for hundreds or thousands of users, thousands or millions of transactions, and one or many servers, virtualizing the access of data and management of the system in spite of its complexity (e.g., number of servers, vendors, platforms, data types, location, etc.).

Pricing

Alero Express, an out-of-the-box, BPM, ECM, and integration solution for companies of 50 users or less, sells for $300-$500 per user, depending on network requirements. Alero Enterprise Edition, providing complex enterprise requirements such as: high transaction, high volume, fault tolerance, workload balancing, clustering, farming, server virtualization, starts at just $500 per user. Both software editions are completely compliant with all service oriented architectures, and can orchestrate multiple servers and disparate applications.
