VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- TNW / American Insulock Inc. (the "Company") (Pink Sheets:AILKF) (CNQ:AIKI.U) is pleased to announce that it has filed an application with The United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the name "INSULOCK."
The name "INSULOCK" has become synonymous with the polyurethane block and equipment produced by the Company.
While a patent protects a product from unauthorized copying through the patent owner's exclusive right to stop others from making, using, selling or offering for sale the patented product, a trademark addresses the need for product identification, or branding, among potential Insulock manufacturing partners while all other uses are prohibited.
Also, the Company announces that it will be an exhibitor at the Phoenix "Home and Garden Show" on January 12, 13, and 14 at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.
Along with American Insulock, over 700 of the most reputable companies will be in attendance, geared toward improving lifestyles will be in attendance. The show, which encompasses over 400,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor displays, will feature the latest and greatest for the home and garden.

The Company's core business is the manufacture and distribution of its brand of ICF insulated concrete forms, and insulating concrete forms (known as Insulock Blocks), together with the equipment that is used to manufacture these blocks. Insulock Blocks are made of polyurethane rather than polystyrene (i.e., Styrofoam(r)), which is the material that is used by virtually every other manufacturer of insulating concrete forms. Insulock Blocks are much stronger than polystyrene blocks and can be used to construct soundwalls and buildings that are highly effective at absorbing sound and that have an R-30 or R-38 heat insulating value.
