POMONA, CA, Dec. 5, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Keystone Automotive Industries (Nasdaq:KEYS) CEO, Richard Keister, accepted the 2006 Automotive Distinguished Good Scout Award from the San Gabriel Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America. A luncheon was held December 1 at the Sheraton Fairplex in honor of Keister which raised funds to help reach youth in Pomona, California.

The city of Pomona, headquarters for Keystone Automotive, has over 50,000 boys between the ages of 6 and 16 who are eligible to take part in scouting; however, less than 1% are currently registered as Boy Scouts. Keister and other community leaders are working to increase participation in Pomona by emphasizing the numerous positive experiences and life lessons that the Boy Scouts of America offer, such as leadership training and value building.
