Automated Vending Technology Announces Cashless Vending Solutions

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Corona California based Automated Vending Technology (Pink Sheets:AVDT) has unveiled the new RAM 5000 high capacity vending system. The RAM 5000 is a non-refrigerated vending system capable of storing and vending over 1000 items. With production quantities available in early 2007 and a price under $2000, the company believes RAM 5000 will be a top seller among U.S. based distributors.

Once again AVT blazed a new high-tech path by showcasing a cashless solution for its RAM 4000/5000 vending systems. Using a typical magnetic card reader mounted near the bill acceptor, the RAM vending systems can accept an industry standard credit or debit card for payment of products. AVT has teamed with Cingular Wireless to process the transaction over the wireless network. "AVT is currently finalizing beta testing and will be offering credit card solutions for its RAM series of vending systems very shortly," stated James Winsor, AVT's Director of Manufacturing and Engineering."

He added that "AVT credit card solutions are typical of a robust design that will enable the technology to be ported over to other multiple vending systems that are MDB compatible."

As a leader in technology developed for the vending industry, information on the credit card solution along with several other inventive technologies integrated into vending systems can be found on AVT web site www.avtinconline.com or by calling AVT directly at 877-424-FOOD (6336).
