American Mold Guard Partners With Habitat for Humanity

Nine Homes in Visalia and Tulare, CA Protected From Mold

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., Feb. 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- American Mold Guard, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMGI), the industry leader in mold prevention services for the residential construction industry, has donated its mold prevention services to Habit for Humanity of Tulare County, California to protect nine new homes from mold infestation, and plans to donate its services for additional new construction in 2007.

The new homes, all single family dwellings in Visalia and Tulare, California, were completed in 2006. Another home, protected by American Mold Guard will be completed in March 2007. In addition, American Mold Guard will donate its services in 2007 for an additional 8 homes, including a three-plex. American Mold Guard has donated its services to Habitat for Humanity since 2005.

"As we continue to build more houses, Habitat for Humanity is also looking at the environment and looking for better ways to build sustainable and affordable homes," said Betsy Murphy, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County. "Our partnership with AMG has helped us to build a safer home for our families. In the past few years, mold has become a huge problem in Southern and Central California and being able to have AMG provide their mold prevention treatment provides an added peace of mind for the families that live in our homes. Since we primarily build for families that have children, we gain confidence knowing that the children won't need to be exposed unnecessarily to harmful mold."

With airtight homes comes increased opportunity for mold growth. This is particularly true in regions like Southern and Central California, where humidity and moisture are trapped inside a home thus providing the right environment for mold spores to grow.

Prior to the hanging of interior drywall, American Mold Guard ensures that all structural surfaces are free from mold. The Company then applies its antimicrobial coating to protect the structure from future mold growth. Additionally, American Mold Guard performs a comprehensive inspection after treating a structure, and warrants the building against future mold contamination.

The American Mold Guard warranty is address-specific and transferable to the homeowner, helping mitigate liability for builders. Since most homeowners can no longer get mold coverage through their traditional property insurance, it is American Mold Guard's belief that its warranty provides a financial incentive and assurance their home is protected.

"Our company believes that every family should have a safe place to live, one that is both mold-free and sustainable," said Nik Heisinger, VP/GM of California for American Mold Guard. "We're proud to be a part of Habitat for Humanity which is doing great things to improve people's lives."
