Ashok Israni and Bruce Rosenblum Named to City National's Boards of Directors


LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- City National Corporation today announced that real estate entrepreneur Ashok "Ash" Israni and Warner Bros. Television Group President Bruce Rosenblum have been elected to the Boards of Directors of the corporation and its subsidiary, City National Bank.

Israni is president and chairman of Pacifica Companies, a group of diversified real estate companies based in San Diego. Its portfolio includes hotels, office and industrial buildings, retail shopping centers, apartment projects and single-family communities throughout the United States. Pacifica Companies has about $2 billion in assets and employs more than 2,300 people.

Before founding Pacifica Companies in 1978, Israni served in management positions at NCR Corporation and National Semiconductor.

He earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Loyola Marymount University and serves on the advisory board of the University of San Diego.

Rosenblum is widely regarded as one of television's most innovative executives. He was named president of the Warner Bros. Television Group in 2005 and today oversees Warner Bros.' portfolio of television businesses, worldwide television production and distribution as well as broadcasting. Most recently, he was one of the key architects in creating the joint venture with CBS Corporation to form The CW.

Before his current position, Rosenblum served for six years as executive vice president of television at the studio. He went to Warner Bros. as part of Warner Communications' 1989 acquisition of Lorimar Telepictures, where he was vice president of business affairs. He began his career as an entertainment attorney in 1982 after receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles and his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
