BOULDER, Colo., March 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Strategic Resources, Ltd. (OTCBB:SGCR) is pleased to announce that it has hired independent SRK Consulting (U.S.) Inc. to evaluate the Company's Uranium Properties it optioned from Somuncurah SRL, located in the province of La Rioja, Argentina.
SRK will be sending a qualified geologist, with expertise in uranium deposits and resource estimation with the objective of defining a drill program, which the Company hopes to have underway in the second quarter of this year. "We are excited to have such a recognized group as SRK Consulting do our preliminary evaluations on our Uranium properties," said John Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Resources. "It is important that we have independent third-party input in our assets. We believe that SRK has the qualified specialists with the expertise in Uranium exploration and development to carry out this work. We look forward to working with them in Argentina."
Initially, SRK and the Company will review the location, access, climate and infrastructure of the Company's property package, and will review local geology, along with past exploration and production. We expect SRK will then begin to evaluate potential exploration methods that will include regional work and mapping, and recommendations for sampling, trenching and drilling. They will also prepare a review of historical data for resource calculation potential. SRK has also been engaged to provide Strategic Resources with an Independent Geologist's "Project Report" that focuses on the geology, history, nature of uranium mineralization, exploration potential and resources of the Company's properties. The Company expects to have this report by the end of March.
