Spunlogic Works With the State of Georgia to Develop Wi-Fi Stations At Visitor Centers

ATLANTA, March 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Spunlogic, an award-winning interactive marketing and technology agency, announced today that it has partnered with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) to develop Wi-Fi stations at Georgia Visitor Centers throughout the state.

In an effort to offer additional benefits to travelers within the state of Georgia, the Tourism division developed a project that would provide the benefit of free wireless to those individuals within the vicinity of the state's 11 Visitors' Centers. Each Visitor Center holds a free wireless station, as well as free access to those who are using their own personal laptops.

As interactive agency of record for the state of Georgia, Spunlogic is developing a custom portal site designed specifically for the new Wi-Fi stations, as well as facilitating the project's additional technology and partner relationships. Using their Georgia.org member username and password, visitors will be able to access special travel and tourism information for the state of Georgia, as well as to access the web wirelessly and at no cost. If they are not a Georgia.org member, visitors can register using the portal's quick-register feature. Visitors will be able to search:

 -- Area Attractions
 -- Accommodations
 -- Getting Around in Georgia
 -- Special Events
 -- Regional Maps and Directions
 -- Special Offers

"Our goal is to create resources that improve the travel experience in Georgia," said Dan Rowe, Deputy Commissioner of Tourism for the GDEcD. "Creating free wireless access and dedicated stations at the state's visitor centers will dramatically improve the accessibility to tourism information for travelers on-the-go."

"We are very proud that the work we do with Georgia.org offers such a tremendous value to state visitors, not to mention the economy of Georgia," said Jeff Hilimire, President of Spunlogic. "The Wi-Fi portals are just a piece of some exciting interactive projects that we are working on with Georgia.org."
