The name of the new line will be called RAPIDS. The new line, which has been in development for over a year, will go after the increasingly growing Kayaking and Canoeing market. As reported recently on a leading Sports Participation website, Kayaking is far and away the premier growth activity, claiming 8.4 million participants in 2006 -- an increase of 20% over 2005 and a huge leap of 139% over 1998. While the appeal of kayaking continues to grow, the sport of Canoeing is still king as it attracted nearly 12.5 million participants in 2006.
